About Me

I believe clients are the experts of their lives and experiences. My goal is to help you explore and process the ways you feel stuck in your life and far away from your goals. I believe clients do their best work when therapy is a safe and thoughtful space. In my work with clients, I strive to create an environment where you can imagine differences in your relationships, with yourself and others. My work is informed by Narrative, Dialogic, Solution-Focused, and Emotionally Focused modalities.

I believe we all have stories about our lives that are no longer serving us and hard to let go of. I hope to help clients discover these narratives and choose the path that allows for a different kind of relationship with themselves and others.

My therapeutic approach is largely collaborative and led by curiosity about your life and how you see the world. I strive to create a space where we can explore areas where you feel stuck and acknowledge recurring themes and patterns, in order to understand behaviours and identify ways to create meaningful change.

About Me

I see therapy as a space where your voices, identities, personal experiences, and innate strengths are honoured and explored. I believe each client holds expertise in their lives which they bring to therapy, and it is my role to support you in harnessing that in a way that fits for your intentions and desires. Therefore, I approach therapy from a place of curiosity to work with individuals, intimate partners, and families from a relational and systemic perspective. This means I am always considering the ways the various contexts you have been situated in have shaped your experience. To do this, I uphold social justice and trauma-informed lens.

I aim to cultivate a space where you feel safe enough to share your story, engage in honest reflection, and journey on your preferred way of being. I believe clients have agency in the work they do in therapy. My role is to listen and ask reflexive questions that allow us to collaboratively identify what is getting in the way of your hopes and how you can respond to this in a way that feels right for you. My approach is grounded in the strong values I hold around intentionality and the therapeutic-relationship, and I strive to maintain open communication and build trust by showing up authentically.

About Me

I have been practicing as a Registered Psychotherapist for just under 7 years. I know from professional and personal experience how hard it can be to reach out for support and how challenging it can be to then connect with someone you feel comfortable with.  I view therapy as a resource that can be accessed by those experiencing hopes to strengthen what is already going well, or for those who want to address what may not be feeling great.  I offer a non-judgemental, safe space where I get to know you as a person. I pay particular attention to your values, hopes, expectations, beliefs, concerns, and identities (culture, religious, relationship status, roles, responsibilities etc.). I hope to establish a relationship with you where you feel comfortable, supported and gently and appropriately challenged in effort to facilitate sustainable, meaningful change. I work collaboratively with clients where I uphold and value a strengths-based, systemic, relational and anti-oppressive lens.
